Extruded Acrylic Round Tubes
Our largest stock range: 211 combinations of outside diameter and wall thickness in extruded PMMA, from Ø4 mm up to Ø400 mm. Extruded tube holds tighter dimensional consistency than cast and costs less in volume, which is why it is the usual choice for lighting, display and signage work.

Size is written as outside diameter × wall thickness, in mm. Inside diameter = OD − 2 × wall. If your size is on this list there is no tooling cost and no tooling lead time.

How we make it hold up
Two process steps that do not show in a photograph and do not show in the box, but decide whether the part is still sound a year after you built it.
Every acrylic tube is annealed before it ships
Extrusion leaves stress frozen into the wall. You cannot see it in the box — it shows up later, as crazing round a drilled hole, a crack after solvent bonding, or a web of hairlines weeks after the part went together. We heat and slow-cool every acrylic tube to relieve that stress before it leaves the factory. It costs us a process step that a lot of extruders skip, and it is the reason our tube machines, bonds and cleans without going milky.
UV stabiliser and anti-ageing additive as standard
We run a UV stabiliser and an anti-ageing additive in our acrylic on every job, not as a priced option you have to know to ask for. PMMA is already the most weather-stable of the clear plastics; the additive package is what keeps it from yellowing at the edges over an outdoor service life.
Round tube qualified for kerosene and petrol contact
Our extruded round tube has been tested holding kerosene and petrol — the most aggressive media we have qualified it against. This follows directly from the annealing: stressed acrylic crazes on contact with fuel, annealed acrylic does not. If you are building fuel-level sight tubes, dispenser gauges, generator or lamp reservoirs, tell us the medium and we will confirm it against what we have actually tested rather than guessing from a chemical chart.

What does a size like Ø32 × 2 mean?
Outside diameter 32 mm, wall thickness 2 mm — so the inside diameter is 28 mm. Every size on this page is written the same way.
Extruded or cast — which do I need?
Extruded tube holds tighter dimensions and costs less in volume, which suits lighting, display and signage. Cast is preferred for heavy machining or bonding, and for diameters above 200 mm. We supply both — see our cast tube page for the large-diameter range.
Can you run these sizes in polycarbonate?
Many of them, yes. Tell us the size and we will confirm whether that die runs PC without new tooling.
Is your acrylic tube annealed?
Yes — every acrylic tube is heated and slow-cooled to relieve extrusion stress before it ships, on every order, at no extra charge. This is what stops the tube crazing when you drill it, machine it, solvent-bond it or clean it with alcohol. Un-annealed tube looks identical in the box; the difference appears at your bench.
Can this tube hold fuel, solvent or cleaning chemicals?
Our round tube has been tested holding kerosene and petrol, which is the most aggressive media we have qualified it against — stressed acrylic crazes on contact with fuel, annealed acrylic does not. Tell us your actual medium, concentration and service temperature and we will answer from what we have tested rather than from a chemical-resistance chart.
