Extruded Acrylic Round Rods
Solid PMMA rod in 47 stock diameters, from Ø1 mm filament up to Ø150 mm. Clear rod transmits light along its length, which is why it is specified so often for edge-lit and light-guide applications.

Diameter in mm. Supplied in standard lengths or cut to size. If your size is on this list there is no tooling cost and no tooling lead time.
No stock size matches. Send us the dimensions anyway — a die close to your size can often be adapted.

How we make it hold up
Two process steps that do not show in a photograph and do not show in the box, but decide whether the part is still sound a year after you built it.
UV stabiliser and anti-ageing additive as standard
We run a UV stabiliser and an anti-ageing additive in our acrylic on every job, not as a priced option you have to know to ask for. PMMA is already the most weather-stable of the clear plastics; the additive package is what keeps it from yellowing at the edges over an outdoor service life.

Frequently asked
How straight is extruded rod?
Straightness depends on diameter and length — a thin rod in a long length will always be less straight than a thick one. Give us both figures and we will confirm what we can hold before you order.
Can rod be supplied cut to a fixed length?
Yes. Tell us the length and the tolerance you need on it; cut tolerance is normally tighter than you would get cutting it yourself.
